How much do you know about the daily maintenance and upkeep of the reactor?


A reaction kettle refers to a stainless steel container that can undergo physical or chemical reactions. The structure design and parameter configuration of the container are carried out according to different process conditions. The design conditions, process, inspection, manufacturing, and acceptance must be based on relevant technical standards to achieve the heating, evaporation, cooling, and low-speed mixing reaction functions required by the process.

Reactors are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, coatings, rubber, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and food. They are important equipment in these industrial production processes. To ensure their safe and efficient operation, daily maintenance and upkeep are crucial. Comply with operating procedures: strictly operate and use the reactor according to the working pressure and temperature specified on the product nameplate to avoid overloading.

Maintenance and upkeep: Follow the instructions in the user manual to perform correct maintenance and upkeep on cooling, oiling, and other aspects.

Valve operation: When using the valve, the valve stem (needle) should be slowly rotated to ensure a tight sealing surface and achieve a good sealing effect.


Daily inspection:

Check if there is any abnormal noise or heat in the mixer to ensure its normal operation.

Check for damage or water leakage in the heater and cooler.

Check if the discharge valve is intact, can it open and close normally, and clean any debris inside the valve.

Check if the electrical equipment and wiring inside the control box are intact and there is no leakage or short circuit phenomenon.

Check if the liquid level gauge, thermometer and other instruments are reading normally, and calibrate if necessary.

Check for any deformation, cracks, or oil leakage on the surface of the reactor shell.

Ensure that the cooling water flows normally and the temperature is appropriate.

Check if the addition of reaction materials is carried out according to the operating procedures and if the ratio is correct.

Cleaning and maintenance: Regularly clean the reaction vessel and select appropriate cleaning methods and agents based on the reaction medium and process requirements. After cleaning, dry the kettle body to prevent rust and corrosion.

Lubrication inspection: Regularly perform lubrication inspections on the mechanical components of the reactor, including agitator bearings, gate valve stems, motor bearings, etc., to ensure the normal operation of the mechanical components and reduce wear and failure.


Security check:

Monitor whether the sound of the gearbox and motor is normal, and check if their temperature is within the normal range.

Check if there is any oil leakage in the gearbox, if the shaft seal is intact, check for changes in the oil level and quality inside the gearbox, and add or update engine oil if necessary.

Check the accuracy and sensitivity of safety devices such as safety valves, explosion-proof discs, pressure gauges, thermometers, etc., to ensure that the safety valves and pressure gauges have been calibrated and the lead seals are intact.

The reactor equipment needs to undergo regular safety and performance testing, including pressure testing, leak detection, temperature control system testing, etc., to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

Tightening inspection:

Regularly inspect the fasteners of the reactor, including bolts, nuts, and other connecting components, to ensure that they are securely fastened and avoid equipment damage or safety accidents caused by looseness.

Electrical system maintenance:

The electrical system of the reactor equipment needs regular inspection and maintenance, including cable connections, motor operation status, normal operation of switches and control components, to ensure the safety and reliability of the electrical system.

Non destructive testing: It can be combined with non-destructive testing methods for maintenance and upkeep. This is a testing method that checks the performance of the tested object without damaging or affecting its performance.

Damaged component replacement:

For components found to be damaged or severely worn, they should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid equipment failure or accidents caused by negligence.
