Alkyd resin is a kind of high molecular compound with polyester as the main chain and fatty acid as the side chain, which is formed by the condensation of Polyols (commonly used glycerol, trimethylolpropane, trimethylolethane, pentaerythritol, etc.) and polybasic acids (mainly phthalic anhydride, isophthalic anhydride, trimellitic anhydride, etc.).
Process flow diagram:
Technology:
1.Alcoholysis reaction: during alcoholysis, glycerol, LiOH catalyst and soybean oil are all added into the reactor according to the production volume for stirring reaction and alcoholysis. At the same time, CO2 inert gas is introduced for protection to prevent oil oxidation due to high temperature and affect product quality. Heating method: steam or high-pressure water circular heating, reaction temperature: 220-240 ℃, reaction pressure: atmospheric pressure.
2.Polyesterification reaction: xylene and water form azeotrope and evaporate to bring out esterified water. After oil-water separation in the water separator, it flows back to the reactor again, so as to promote the polyesterification reaction and generate alkyd resin. Add 6% of reflux solvent xylene and polycondensate between 210 ~ 240 ℃.
3.Dilution: cool down after the reaction, add solvent xylene or other solvents as required by the commodity, and add solvent under continuous stirring to complete dilution.
4.Filtration: centrifuge filtration.
