Prevent Dry Operation: When using the homogenizer, liquid material must be fed continuously or maintained at a certain level within the container. The purpose is to avoid running the machine empty, preventing residual material from generating high temperatures or crystallizing/solidifying inside the work chamber, which could damage the equipment.
Thorough Cleaning After Use: After experiments or small-scale production, the laboratory homogenizer must be cleaned thoroughly. This not only maintains the working efficiency of the stator and rotor but also helps protect the machine's seals.
Additional Suggestion: If necessary, a cleaning circulation system can be designed and installed peripherally to the equipment for easier cleaning and better hygiene maintenance.
Verify Correct Motor Rotation: After confirming that the cooling water for the mechanical seal is connected and the motor is started, it is crucial to ensure that the motor's rotation direction is consistent with the rotation indicator on the main shaft before operation. Reverse rotation is strictly prohibited.
Exclude Hard Contaminants & Inspect Wear: Metal shavings or other hard, difficult-to-crush debris are strictly forbidden from entering the homogenizer's work chamber, as they can cause catastrophic damage to the stator, rotor, and the equipment itself.
Maintenance personnel should regularly inspect the stator and rotor. If excessive wear is found, the corresponding parts should be replaced promptly to ensure effective dispersion and emulsification.
Clean Filters & Ensure Fluid Feed: Depending on the different media used, users must clean the inlet and outlet filters regularly to prevent reduced feed flow from impacting production efficiency.
Furthermore, material entering the work chamber must be in fluid form. Dry powder or agglomerated material is not allowed to enter directly, as it can cause the machine to jam ("闷机") and result in damage.
Address Leaks & Abnormalities Promptly: If liquid leakage is observed at the shaft during operation, the machine must be stopped to adjust the mechanical seal pressure. Similarly, upon hearing any abnormal sounds or detecting other faults, immediately stop for inspection. Only resume operation after the issue is resolved. After shutdown, the work chamber, stator, and rotor must be cleaned thoroughly.
