I. Reactor Operation Steps
Pre-Operation Preparations:
First, ensure all connection points of the reactor are secure and leak-free, the power circuit is functional, and auxiliary systems such as the cooling system and agitation device are operating normally. Then, based on reaction requirements, perform appropriate cleaning and sterilization of the reactor interior, ensuring it is free of impurities.
Charging of Materials:
According to the reaction process requirements, evenly add solid materials into the reactor through the feeding port, followed by slowly injecting liquid materials. Simultaneously, activate the agitation device to ensure uniform mixing.
Temperature and Pressure Control:
Start the heating or cooling system to precisely control the temperature and pressure inside the reactor. During the reaction, regularly monitor and record relevant data to ensure the process remains within the set safety parameters.
Reaction Completion and Discharge:
After the reaction concludes, shut down the heating/cooling systems and the agitation device. Only when the internal temperature has dropped to a safe range should the discharge port be opened for material removal.
II. Reactor Maintenance
Daily Cleaning:
After each use, promptly clean the interior of the reactor to prevent residues from affecting subsequent reactions or causing corrosion.
Regular Inspections:
Periodically check the functionality of reactor components such as the agitator, temperature sensors, and pressure gauges. Perform repairs or replacements immediately if abnormalities are detected.
Corrosion and Rust Prevention:
For reactors made of metal, regularly apply anti-corrosion coatings or take other protective measures to prevent rusting.
Seal Replacement:
Seals are critical for maintaining the reactor's leak-tight integrity. Inspect them regularly and replace as needed to prevent leakage.
III. Common Reactor Faults and Handling
Temperature Control Failure:
If temperature cannot be accurately controlled, first check the temperature control system and thermocouples for proper operation. Repair or replace any damaged components immediately. Also, verify the suitability of the material volume and heat transfer medium inside the reactor, adjusting if necessary.
Pressure Abnormalities:
Abnormally high or low pressure may result from issues such as a faulty pressure relief valve or blockages in the intake/exhaust systems. Promptly identify and resolve the cause.
Agitation Failure:
If the agitation device is non-operational or unstable, inspect components such as the motor, gearbox, and agitation shaft for mechanical faults. Replace any damaged parts as required.
Leakage Issues:
If leakage is detected in the reactor body or piping, immediately stop the reaction and repair the affected area or replace the sealing ring to ensure safe equipment operation.
